Minimal Set-up Ceremonies

Today I want to share three ceremony set-ups that rely on the natural scene. Maybe you are planning a wedding, but the look of an arch decorated with flowers just doesn’t appeal to you. Check out some of these less conventional ceremony backdrops and set-ups. Hopefully this can inspire you to consider some of the beauty that’s already existing with your venue. Or, if you’re like me, maybe you just love to see new and exciting ways to wed.

This first wedding is one I came across on The Knot and I have been stunned by it ever since. It is the only wedding I’ve included that features an arch, and if you’re in love with a minimal aesthetic, definitely give this one a look!

When you have such a beautiful natural background, why would you want to do anything more? All of the colors work so well together and I am in love with the rolling Virginia hills as a backdrop. Top it off with a simplistic arch and wooden chairs and this all comes together as a beautiful, modern ceremony set-up. This scene was captured by Gianny Campos Photography.

This next wedding was featured on Green Wedding Shoes and took place in California.

This simple, rustic ceremony scene is all about using the resources given to you. I can’t get over how gorgeous this simple set-up looks. It was all captured by Annamae Photo.

The last one comes from one of my favorite weddings and set-ups I’ve encountered so far.

I love every little thing about this ceremony from the gorgeous black pews, to the lanterns, to the wood accents. My most favorite part about this ceremony set-up, however, is the effortlessly gorgeous natural backdrop. The way the tree is used as the center is just magical. The lake and the gorgeous fall leaves all add up to an effortless moody and unique wedding aesthetic.

I first found this moody fall Arkansas wedding on The Knot. It was photographed by Jessi Casara Photography.
